Mark Cassar

Mark Cassar is a seasoned tech entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in software and, more recently, hospitality. He is the Co-Founder & CTO of Mamori, a startup on a mission to simplify nutrition. Mamori acts as your personal nutritionist in your pocket — delivering instant, expert-backed guidance on food products based on your health goals, allergies, and dietary needs. The broader vision is to become the global standard in smart nutrition by enabling goal-based meal planning, smarter grocery shopping, and recipe-to-cart features.

Mark began coding at the age of four and founded Casasoft, an award-winning software agency, at just 15. He graduated in Software & Artificial Intelligence and has represented Malta in international competitions such as the Microsoft Imagine Cup (2008), earning numerous awards for innovation and business leadership.

Beyond tech, Mark built a fully automated and highly successful self-service hostel — Mandera’s Boutique Suites & Dorms in Valletta — and Mindo, a serviced office space in Qormi, Malta.

Outside of work, he’s passionate about squash, sailing, food, and the outdoors. Based in Malta, Mark enjoys travelling to faraway destinations that inspire new ideas.
