Steve is Co-Founder and CEO of Quicklets and Zanzi Homes, the QLZH Group, which started five years ago when QuickLets was just a one-man show with the support of two part time co-founders. One rental after the other, Steve’s confidence in the Maltese Property Market grew, and invested the profits back into the business it is today. Three years later, after a chance sale, Steve also founded Zanzi Homes. Both brands together today operate from twenty-three offices with an awesome team of just under three hundred. Both figures are set to grow further in the next twelve months, locally and internationally.
Steve’s enthusiasm with new technologies and the way it may help disrupt the property market, has helped the company grow rapidly over five years. Steve had an idea for a coupon program, which then grew into the Virtual Agent Concept, a first for the Maltese and probably the international real estate industry.
Steve believes strongly in offering a company culture that attracts like-minded and “like-hearted” people which in turn will develop each person in the best version of themselves. This has proven to be a correct foresight and is attributed to another major element of the QLZH Group’s success.
From the first day, Steve’s main goal was to build a company that could make a real and sustainable difference in the world by making planet earth a better place for current and future generations to enjoy. This dream gave life to the QLZH Foundation that has built a house in Africa for every one sold in Malta as its ultimate ambition.
A risk-taker by nature, Steve constantly promotes doing things different and encourages his team to enjoy life and whatever they do on a daily basis. Before an extreme sports enthusiast with things such as naked skydiving (of which the pin is now hanging around his neck and forms part of the Zanzi Homes logo) and multiple bungy jumps off a tower crane. Today he holds back from unnecessary risks after finding himself with a broken neck on the bottom of a remote beach. To remind himself of this, Steve has metal plate in his neck connecting his C3 to his C5. Steve also wears unpaired socks every day to remind himself to do things differently and brushes his teeth with his passive hand to remind himself to accept challenges. Steve is married to Zanna and is a father to gorgeous India.
