Prof. Emeritus Oege de Moor DPhil is the creator of two category-defining products marketed by Microsoft, namely GitHub Advanced Security and Copilot. He has a passion for inventing pioneering technologies by investigating difficult problems and seeing the solution used by millions. He created the security product as CEO of his company named Semmle and Copilot as head of GitHub Next at Microsoft. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Oege was a professor at Magdalen College at the University of Oxford for 22 years.
